If you are traveling from Rome or Naples to the Amalfi Coast, the train is an economical and comfortable way to travel. Other major cities also have train stations that will connect you with these main hubs as well. From Rome, you would travel to Naples on the Italo or Trenitalia trains. Once you reach Naples, you can catch a train to Vietri sul Mare. At this station, you can pick up a local bus to get you to the Amalfi coast.
