Ferry Italy

If you love traveling by boat, than that is just another good reason to plan a trip to Italy. There are many different ferry Italy options as well as chartered boats that offer convenience, comfort, and a fun way to travel. The Adriatic and the Mediterranean Sea which surrounds Italy house and abundance of options when it comes to traveling by ferry to other coastline ports and many Italian islands. For Insular Italy, you can catch an Italy ferry to the islands of Sardinia and Sicily as well many other amazing island destinations.

It's always a good idea to do your homework online and check out the routes that will suit your travel plans. Another note, ferries might not run every day of the week - it largely depends on the season and traveller popularity. Some ferries offer restaurant and bar services, although many people bring their own snacks and soft drinks. Let us take a closer look at the ferry Italy situation and see how we can benefit from this type of travel while on vacation.

There are many ferry ports in the country, these include: Ancona, Bari, Brindisi, Civitavecchia, Livorno, Salerno, Trieste, and Venice. Depending on where your travels take you - rest assured, you can easily catch an Italy ferry at one of these convenient ports.

If your travels take you to the stunning Amalfi coast, you’ll find many ferry Italy options that go back and forth between Sorrento and Amalfi or Positano which makes a boat ride a pleasant day trip for seeing such dramatic sights of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius or Naples from land and sea. This is a truly great option if you are visiting this area.

The island of Capri is a must see on your trip to the region of Campania. Hydrofoils to Capri depart from Naples' Beverello port, situated almost directly opposite Piazza Muncipio. Journey time approximately 40 minutes. Ferries to the island depart from the nearby Calata Porta di Massa, linked to Beverello by shuttle service. The journey by ferry takes 50 to 80 minutes.

If you fancy a day trip, you can cruise around the island on a full day boat excursion. If you’d like to visit the island itself, ferries and hydrofoils run from Sorrento and Positano and Amalfi. Keep in mind that ferry service is not as frequent or reliable in winter months due to stormy weather and high seas. Check at the port before your travels to make sure your ferry is still running.

The island of Sicily can also be reached by ferry. There is no bridge from the island of Sicily to the mainland, so a ferry is your best option for this type of trip (unless you want to fly directly to the island). The Sicily ferries are very extensive and often carry not only people but cars, buses, and even whole trains! These ferries are an enjoyable journey that you’ll remember long after your trip is over.

And if you want to add a trip to Greece or other European countries along with your Italian vacation plans, a very popular way to travel between these two countries is by ferry. A ferry can take you to Greece, Croatia, and many other Mediterranean destinations.

Taking a ferry in Italy is a relaxing, exciting, and exciting way to get you where you want to go and see a bit of the Italian seas on your vacation. Bon voyage!
