Italy Bus Tour

Since there is so much to see and do on your trip to Italy, you might want to consider an Italy bus tour. It can get you where you want to go in less time and can be a great way to see the country. Bus tours are top-rated within cities to get you around to the different historical landmarks and architectural wonders, but there are many city to city tours as well that you can take on luxury modern motor coaches that include guides and all of the comforts of home.

More About Italy Bus Tour

The major cities in Italy have a good selection of self-guided bus tours. The hop-on, hop off buses operate in Rome, Florence, Milan, and Naples. There is even a hop-on, hop off boat in Venice. These tours are the most flexible because they allow you to see only the sites you want and skip the rest. Often, these buses are open air on the top level to give you a close-up view of the sights and sounds of the city as you pass by. Passes are generally valid for one or two days and offer an audio commentary of the sights en route. You can even upgrade your ticket to include the cost of the attractions you want to see making these tours economical, exciting and fun.

If a guided tour or a multi-city bus tour is more of what you had in mind, there are plenty of those as well. Tours last from one to two days and even go up to two weeks as well. The longer the journey, the more cities, and sights you will be able to take in. How about a Rome, Siena, Florence, Venice and Milan trip? This one is popular and lasts six days. Alternatively, how about a trip to the Northern Italian Lakes? This trip starts in Milan and will take you through Lake Garda, Verona, Lake Como, and Lake Maggiore. This trip is unique because the mountainous regions aren’t always serviced by trains so the bus may be your best option. If you want to visit southern Italy, you can take in a twelve-day trip that encompasses, Rome, Capri, Naples, and even includes Mount Etna and Pompeii. These type of tours include hotel accommodations, meals, a guide that speaks several different languages, entrance to attractions and of course transportation on a modern coach bus.

Bus tours in Italy have never been better. From self-guided hop on, hop off buses to multi-day, multi-city packages you are sure to find a tour that will fit your travel plans and your budget.

Italy Bus Tour - Train Tips

Many tours in Italy use the train to get people where they want to go. There is a national train network that is subsidized by the government, and it can often be faster and more economical than taking a bus. That being said, do your homework and check your destinations travel plans.

Refer to the Italy train map for an overall glimpse of the country's railway system. Some areas are not accessible by train, so a bus would be your best option. If you don't mind this type of travelling, you’ll have lots of options for an Italy bus tour.
