Udine Italy is a city in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It is situated in between the Adriatic Sea and the Alps. This city and region have a very colourful and interesting past. It was first documented in 983 and legend has it that Hungarian leader Attila the Hun founded a town there and built a large square tower during the attack on Aquileia. UDINE WEATHER

Udine Italy is steeped in historical significance. Ancient landmarks to visit in the city include the Castle of Udine. This impressive structure dates back to the sixteenth century and is located in the town centre. The arches both in the front and in the magnificent portico are just a fraction of what makes this building unique. There is also an Art and History Museum in the main building where you can take your time strolling through the stunning artwork and ancient artifacts.

Other spectacular sights in Udine Italy include the Loggia del Lionello. This Venetian Gothic style structure is a symbol of the city and a wonder to behold. Moreover, it is one of the best-preserved buildings in the entire region. The Venetian arches and levels of white and pink marble will leave you awe-inspired. The Cathedral of Udine is also worth a visit. This thirteenth-century church with its gorgeous rose windows and intricately carved wooden door are just the beginning. Inside, you’ll find it ornately decorated with frescos and other artwork. The Chiesa di San Giacomo which is a Roman Catholic Church, is also a popular tourist sight. And Udine also has a much-loved museum. The Diocensano Museum is a must see when you visit Udine.

These include public parks such as the Giardin Grande which is a circular garden surrounded by trees with six different symmetrical paths that lead to a fountain in the centre of the space.
